Eternal Descent

As I roamed the isles of Geektopia that was Comic Con, checking out all the cool booths and displays, I was Bewitched by one of the most striking pieces of art I have ever seen… A guitar!!! Now admittedly, I love Heavy Metal and play guitar, but this guitar is nothing short of drop dead gorgeous. The guitar’s lines are a perfect marriage with the art. After I stopped drooling on the counter… I took a moment to meet the artist behind the piece.

Llexi Leon an accomplished young musician and writer has taken his love for both mediums and fused them into one. His new comic, Eternal Descent is full of action, and great story telling. If you’re a fan of groups such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio or their contemporaries like Static X or Atreyu the images those bands evoke fit right in with this new title. And not only has he got ESP commissioned guitars ( Yes there are others ), but he has enlisted the help of artists such as the aforementioned Atreyu, Static X, Soulfly, and others to produce a soundtrack for the title as well. Some of the performers are even characters in the comic.

Readers of titles such as Spawn, or The Darkness need to add this one to the list!!! Produced by IDW Publishing the title is available in print and on the iPhone, iPad and Playstation networks. Having read the first two issues, I can say it’s truly a great ride and I can’t wait for more!!!
