Michael Gough 1917-2011

Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher proved that Batmans can be changed as frequently as socks, but when you find a good Alfred – you stick with him.

A veteran of many “Hammer Horror Films” of the 50s and 60s, Mr. Gough’s most famous role was that of Bruce Wayne’s rather paternal butler Alfred Pennyworth in all four Batman films made before the series was rebooted by Christopher Nolan in Batman Begins.  As bad as the Schumacher films got – no fault ever lay with Mr. Gough.

About calmixx

Calmixx is the Pseudonym of New York Artist/Writer Brian Mc- - HEY wait a minute. Why have a cool Pseudonym if you're just gonna tell people it's a Pseudonym? Yeah you can just call me Calmixx for now. Maybe if we have a third date I'll give up the last name but not without dinner. Check out my silly little blog and let me know what you think. Because I care. I really do. Really. Honest. Sorta.
